1. The anger of God so powerful beyond measure.
Never provoke God is anger. The words “anger” and “wrath” make us think about our own painful experience. The anger of God is powerful and does not want us to lived in habitual sinning. In the bible Sodom and Gamora was destroyed because 99.9% of total population does not know evil or good. Only Lot family was save during the destruction. All of people are in habitual sinners living of their own selfish desire without God. Sad to know this people does not acknowledge God in their heart even their are living in great wealth. God destroy a great City. Why ? Because God demand people to lived in holiness. This City Sodom and Gamora was a toxic City in Gods eyes.
2. God’s wrath is provoked then destruction follows .
Evil will not stand holiness. God is holy and hates evil. If evil think they are more powerful then you are wrong. Destruction follow when the pride of men think they can lived without God alone.
The Bible says, “God is love.” That is his nature. God’s love is not provoked. He does not love us because he sees some wisdom, beauty, or goodness in us. He loves you because he loves you, and you can never get beyond that (Deuteronomy 7:7).
3. God is slow and slow to anger.
Why does God allow evil to continue in the world?
We are save because of grace alone thru the mighty name of Jesus Christ without grace we are in hell. Jesus open the door to anyone who invite them in their life. God is slow and slow to anger because Jesus want all mankind to be save thru grace.
God holds out the offer of grace and forgiveness in Jesus Christ (2 Peter 3:9). People are coming to him in faith and repentance every day, and God patiently holds open the door of grace. The day of God’s wrath will come, but God is not in a hurry to bring it because then the door of grace will be closed.
4. God’s wrath is revealed everyday
Therefore, God gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to impurity (1:24).
For this reason God gave them up to dishonorable passions (1:26).
God gave them up to a debased mind (1:28).
5. God’s wrath is on the target of sinners.
If we lived our life without Jesus then our nature of habitual sinners continue again and again. This will close our relationship with God because of sin. Confess your sins and ask the holy spirit of lived in you so that you sinful nature will be stop by the holy spirit.
Can you see wifi connection ? Same as the holy spirit you are connected with God when the holy spirit lived in you. The holy spirit will guide you in truth.
In John 3:36, he does not say, “The wrath of God will come on [the disobedient].” He says, “Whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him.” It is already there. Why is it already there? By nature, we are children of wrath (Ephesians 2:3). It is the state in which we were born.
